Education

Experience

  • Seafood or food industry experience: Many positions require a minimum of two to three years of experience in a fish processing plant or a related quality assurance role.
  • Quality inspection or assurance experience:Experience in quality control or quality assurance is often a key requirement. 

Certifications

  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certification: This is a critical and frequently required qualification for food safety.
  • Other certifications: Certifications like ISO(International Organization for Standardization) or BRC (British Retail Consortium) are highly valuable.
